Here's a new good song: "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift. No it's not new anymore. It rose to popularity during my two-month European hiatus. But it should be acknowledged that I go on the record as saying that this is quite a great song.
Authenticity is important, and one of the reasons Swift resonates with fans and some non-fans is that she appears to be transparent. "Blank Space" feels like a genuine sentiment of Swift's. But beyond that, the music is very catchy. Great songwriting, great production. Video is a little silly. But the music is solid architecture.
